BUSINESS JETS & TURBOPROPS Quick Reference 2026

BUSINESS JETS & TURBOPROPS Quick Reference 2026

Compiled by Steven Sowter and Ton van Soest, and the Air-Britain News Team

This is the 24th edition of this annual publication, covering all the world's civil and military business jets, business turboprops and corporate airliners and is correct to the end of January 2026. The aircraft are listed in registration order and the entries give full type and construction number information. Each category of aircraft has its own distinct section of the book and there are pages for personal notes at the end of the book. This year, we have introduced a lozenge icon to indicate a change from last year - this could be a new aircraft, a change of type and/or constructor's number for registers that allow re-use, or an upgrade to an existing aircraft. We have also removed some of the very old pre-2015 reservations that did not take up their registrations.
In total, the book lists over 25,000 business jets, 14,000 business props and 1,000 corporate jets.

Business Jets International 2025

Business Jets International 2025

Steven Sowter and Barrie Towey - Editors in conjunction with the Air-Britain News Team

Now in its 40th year, BJI is THE reference work in this field. The current edition covers over 33,000 airframes in the extensive production lists, from the earliest Morane-Saulnier Paris and Lockheed Jetstars of the 1950s to the latest Falcon 6X and Gulfstream G700 and G800. Projects that never got past the prototype stage or are still under development are covered in a short section on Experimental and Non-Production aircraft.

Our unique index system, listing nearly 130,000 registrations, covers all known individual registrations carried by business jets over the last 68 years, listed by registration order with cross-referencing to type and construction number with current active marks shown in bold. Additionally for completeness, we also include a production list and index for the Gulfstream I and lists for corporate airliners such as the Airbus family, Boeing BBJs, Canadair Challenger 800 and 850, Dornier 328, and Embraer Legacy and Lineage.

As the 2024 edition had reached the maximum number of pages for a strongly bound book, this year we have adopted a two-column format to make best use of space. We have also taken the opportunity to increase the type size slightly.

European Registers Handbook is the only book with Europe-wide coverage including ALL known previous identities of aircraft, adds details of aircraft reserved or on permits which don't appear on official lists, all gliders and balloons and makes strenuous efforts to identify all known microlights.

Civil Aircraft Registers of The British Isles 2025 (CARBI2025)

Civil Aircraft Registers of The British Isles 2025 (CARBI2025)

Editor Sue Bushell - In conjunction with the Air-Britain News Team

Believed to be the most comprehensive register available, CARBI 2025 lists all United Kingdom, Ireland, Isle of Man and Guernsey aircraft current on the register of those countries plus overseas-registered aircraft based in the British Isles. Also covered are aircraft that have joined but left those registers since publication of the last edition, and non-current aircraft still extant, under restoration, in storage, used for ground training purposes or resident in museums. The main sections of the register are updated to 4 July 2025.

Each individual entry contains the registration, accurate type, constructor's number, original registration date, all previous identities, the registered owner(s) and the probable base. Extra information provided includes Certificate of Airworthiness and Permit to Fly expiration dates, no-flight and evidence of insurance dates, plus notes on the original aircraft constructor, markings and names carried and, if not active, the airframe's status. The types in each section have been indexed.

There is a separate section containing the British Gliding Association register with handy cross-references to competition codes carried by gliders, including those that carry G- markings instead of BGA numbers.

The complete register of 668 aircraft that come under the aegis of Aviation Heritage UK (formerly the British Aircraft Preservation Council) is included along with those that are known to be covered by the Irish Aviation Historical Council.

Further sections include civil-registered aircraft held by museums and collections in the UK and abroad, a decode table for aircraft flying with military serials, and lists of overseas registration and 'B Conditions' prefixes.
The handy tab system along the side of the page enables easy navigation from section to section.

Airline Fleets 2025

Airline Fleets 2025

Lyn Buttifant and Chris Chatfield - Editors in conjunction with the Air-Britain News Team

This book is an easy-to-read, easy-to-use companion to our best-selling Airline Fleets Quick Reference (AFQR), covering not only the jet and turbine operators of AFQR, but piston operators involved in parcel delivery, tourism charters, emergency medical, fire suppression and some police & surveillance activities, down to Cherokee Six size. In total fleet operators from over 200 countries with more than 2,900 operators with approaching 50,000 individual aircraft are included.

Additional information to that in AFQR includes immediate previous identities, call-signs, special liveries, fleet numbers, leasing details and major operational bases with the relevant IATA codes. There are 41 pages of indices, including a list of operators removed since the 2024 edition with the explanation for the removal, plus IATA and ICAO operator designators cross-referenced to operator. There are also operator, nationality prefix and airline alliance indices. Most immediately useful are the additional 27 pages of jet and turbine aircraft in corporate, government and military VIP use, listed type-by-type, plus three pages at the end of the book for notes.

Overall, information is included up to 28th February 2025.

Because the book has now reached the maximum size for its binding, this year we have taken the decision to remove helicopter fleets from the printed book and these are available on our website as a 124-page PDF download which can be printed out at the same size and format as the book. It can be found at https://air-britain.com/web/da-fleets/
