The fourth in an ongoing series of books produced by the Musée Air France on airliners operated by Air France in the post-1945 period. This volume relates in detail the history and use of the type with Air France as a passenger and cargo aircraft. In addition there are sections on other companies which operated Air France Boeing 707s at some stage, and also on the use of the C-135F and E-3F with the French Air Force. The book includes fully illustrated technical details of the Boeing 707. It also contains a huge amount of Air France related memorabilia, including timetables, logbook entries and adverts. Interviews with numerous people who flew or maintained the type are featured. An important aspect of the book are the hundreds of colour and black & white illustrations, most of which have never been previously published. The main text is in French, but the tabular material is comprehensible to anyone with aviation knowledge.
