A joint publication by BARG and Air-Britain, this volume gives details of the instructional airframes used by the Fleet Air Arm. In addition to the raw data, there is the explanation of the classification of Instructional Airframes used by the FAA since its creation in April 1924. It also provides details of the Airframe Training Establishments operated by the FAA. There are appendices on such subjects as local markings, instructional engines and even Army Air Corps Instructional Airframes! While Instructional Airframes do not conjure the glamour of operational aircraft, they have been and continue to be a vital element of the FAA.
